Back-to-school Capsule Wardrobes for $150 at Old Navy

Happy Monday, everybody!

I'm so excited to show you the new website today! This has been a long time coming, as I have been needing a better way to organize my increasing posts. I also wanted to include a better About page so that you guys can get to know me a little better, in case you don't already. So, make yourself at home, poke around and check it out! Hope you enjoy it!

Note: I am still working on the mobile version of the site, so please forgive any funky happenings on that end. I should have it completed for your viewing pleasure by the end of this week!

Moving on... in case you missed last week's post, I had talked about some changes that I'm going to be making in regards to content. Now, the topics will remain pretty much the same, although I'm adding in a couple of extra things. But overall I want to offer things that are helpful in terms of saving you time and/or stress. Now, since fashion is my specialty, you can still expect to see outfit inspiration posts at least bi-weekly. But I'm going to focus on bringing you more in-depth posts in regards to family life, self-care, etc.

With that in mind, the underlying theme for this month is back-to-school/organization. This week, I'm kicking it off with...

kids' back-to-school capsule wardrobes!

I mean, we all love capsule wardrobes for ourselves (or at least we love them on Pinterest, haha!), so why not use them for our kids, too?  So I decided to do a series of B2S wardrobes from different retailers, and I'm trying to keep them all under $150 (including outerwear and shoes), because we're not made of money. This week, I'm kicking it off with Old Navy!

I started thinking about this a couple months ago, because here in Texas, we don't really have a fall season, and especially not during back-to-school. The kids start next week and it's still in the 90's here! Ugh. So, I figured it would be nice to be able to get them some new clothes that will transition easily into fall/winter without having to spend a bunch of money.

To save you some time and hassle, I've put together these capsule wardrobes full of neutral pieces that can be utilized with your kids' existing pieces. All you have to do is click the links and add them to your cart! Let's get to it!

DisclosureThis post contains affiliate links, which means, at no extra cost to you, I receive a small commission when you click on certain links below, or if you make purchases as a result of visiting the retailers directly from my website. Please note, I only recommend products that I truly love and think that my readers will also love.

Girls' back-to-school capsule wardrobe

$8 jeggings, $8 dresses, and $4 leggings really save the day when it comes to making a wardrobe out of a low budget. Plus, these metallic sneakers, are the best deal at $16. P.S.: You can find matching glitter Vans right over here. You know you want 'em.

P.S.: I reeeeeally wanted to find some cute jumpsuits for this wardrobe, but I couldn't find any at a price that would work well here. Keep your fingers crossed for some affordable ones in the coming months!

$4-6 tees are the hero pieces for the boys' wardrobe. They also have some great $8 jeans, which are a life-saver. Use some henleys and twill joggers to round it out, and you've got a great wardrobe for any boy! They have a ton of different graphics and color options, but these were my favorites for the price.

That's all for today! The girls' wardrobe is about $155 and the boys' comes in at just over $148, so either way, it's not a bad way to start the year!
